A week ago while searching for new things to talk about in Mishes, we stumbled upon a fantastic video game for PlayStation 2, a grand compilation featuring more than 700 games for SNES. We downloaded it immediately and after playing for hours, we noticed that the people behind those games were magicians in making 8-bit textures, so we decided to give it a shot and we created 50 different 8-bit-like textures in Photoshop that we want to share freely with all of you.

The patterns are packaged in a single PAT file and ready to be installed in Photoshop. To install any pattern library just go to Edit>Preset Manager and from the Patterns label you can load your patterns.

Photoshop’s Preset Manager lets you handle all the different elements that you may need while working in your designs, including brushes, patterns, gradients and more.

And that’s it, now you know how to install a pattern library in Photoshop and for start you can do it with these great 8-bit textures that we’ve created for all of you, please leave us a comment letting us know your thoughts on this and all our other articles, don’t forget to check our Twitter and Facebook pages to find out more useful design news from Latin America and the world, have a nice week.

I hope you guys can teach us how to make pattern effectively~ thanks alot!

That’s Much helpful .. but very low quality .. never looks like patterns while using.. that seems like a single grey color … Can anybody help me..
Hi SULAIMAN, these textures are based on classic 8-bit textures and therefore you’ll never obtain an outstanding quality, however, you can play with the opacity values and change the blending mode to obtain some pretty cool things
