Tattoos and illustrations by La Duquesa Colectivo
Jul 27
Today’s inspiration comes filled with colorful tattoos and illustrations made by a small group from Bucaramanga, Colombia known as La Duquesa Colectivo (The Duchess Collective), so let’s see a little more about these guys.
¿What is La Duquesa Colectivo?
La Duquesa Colectivo is the convergence of multiple art and design disciplines in a single place, the members of the team are Diana Mora (Industrial Designer and Manager), Daniel Acosta (Plastic Artist and Tattooist), Christian Arenas (Graphic Designer and Screen Printer) and finally Yulieth Araque and Mauricio Figueroa, both of them stylists.
Their purpose is to generate a new vision of tattooing, art and aesthetics on an urban context, making it more reachable by common people and therefore make it less taboo, they want to take their art beyond fashion and transform it into a cultural movement and lifestyle, making people understand that we cannot be judged by the way we look as we are the ones who define our self-appearance.
The collective was born with the goal of bringing to the city of Bucaramanga a young and fresh proposal for all the people that is looking for an alternative within the city and that so far haven’t been able to find it.
Don’t stop visiting their Flickr portfolio as well as their blog so you can be informed about their latest creations.

If you want to hide that dimwit tattoo that you got during that crazy outing back when you were 14, you can leave this job on the expert hands of La Duquesa Colectivo, let’s take a look at some of their tattoo’s make ups:

Tattoo designs
Every single one of their tattoos have been made by design experts, so you won’t have to worry about the tattooist being able to translate what you have in mind, because they will definitely accomplish it!. Now we have a few sketches to show you the process behind every design and how they manage to capture the client’s idea, the answer from their clients after seeing the sketch is usually “OMG, it’s even better than I expected”.

Some of their paintings
And to put a cherry on the cake, here are some of their artistic creations featuring their particular style.
